In recent years, baby showers have become increasingly popular in Hungary as well. Generally, while the new dad celebrates the baby’s arrival with his friends at a “milk-stirring party,” a baby shower gives the expectant mother a chance to relax and have fun with her friends before giving birth.

Of course, in many cases, parents host a baby shower together, during which the baby’s gender is revealed. In such cases, if the proud parents already know whether they’re expecting a girl or a boy, it’s a good idea to surprise the guests with a special, custom napkin. For example, you could write “boy/girl” on the front, and then at some point during the party, the guests can flip or unfold the napkins to find out whether they can congratulate the parents on a boy or a girl. ?

In addition, of course, there are plenty of authentic games that are exciting at times like this. For example, if you ask the participants to each bring a childhood photo, pin them up somewhere, and let the guessing begin—who do these cute photos depict?

When it comes to decorations, the only limit is your imagination, but using unique napkins at lunch or dinner is a great way to complement the look. Of course, it’s much easier to plan this when the color scheme has already been decided. ?
